Attorney Bio
Brittany Hudgens, Esq. is a litigation attorney in the Virginia Beach office, where she represents clients in family law matters with a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy. Her legal career has been shaped by extensive experience in public and private practice, allowing her to navigate high-conflict domestic cases with confidence and care.
Before joining Melone Hatley, Brittany worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Hampton where she prosecuted a wide range of cases in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, including domestic violence, child safety, and protective orders. This background has given her a nuanced understanding of the challenges families face in times of crisis, as well as the tools needed to advocate for her clients and their children.
In private practice, Brittany has supported clients through a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, and child and spousal support. Her prior work in real estate and financial services adds an analytical layer to her practice, particularly when addressing asset division and complex financial evidence in divorce matters.
Brittany is passionately committed to helping families find resolution during emotionally difficult transitions. Her clients appreciate her thoughtful guidance and strong advocacy, knowing they have a calm and capable presence protecting their interests.
