Attorney Bio
Ryan Ayala, Esq. is an associate attorney in the San Antonio, TX office of Melone Hatley, P.C. Ryan’s practice focuses on Texas family law, including divorce, child custody, support, modifications, and property division. He is committed to ensuring families, especially those in underserved areas like Southeast San Antonio, receive the support they need during challenging times. Through his work, Ryan aims to help children and families find stability and success.
Ryan has practiced family law in San Antonio since 2024, beginning his career as a law clerk and continuing as an associate attorney handling Texas family law matters across divorce, custody, and modification cases. His work has included drafting pleadings, motions, and final orders; preparing Inventories and Appraisements with supporting financial documentation; managing discovery and case deadlines; and representing clients through mediation and trial preparation.
Earlier in law school, Ryan clerked with the Office of the Texas Attorney General – Child Support Division, where he attended Title IV-D dockets, conducted client interviews, and participated in support negotiations. He also served as a Dean’s Research Fellow at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Ryan earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he served as Secretary of the Longhorn Bar Association, won first place in the Wayne & Maxine Scott Negotiations Competition, and coached the East Central High School mock trial team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government and History from The University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, attending community events, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns.
