About Seth Craig
Seth Craig, Esq. is a Litigation Attorney practicing in the Virginia Beach, VA office of Melone Hatley, P.C. His practice includes family law matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, and related domestic relations issues.
Seth brings trial and litigation experience to his family law practice. Prior to joining Melone Hatley, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Portsmouth, where he tried felony and misdemeanor cases. He later entered private practice, managing plaintiff personal injury cases from complaint through settlement while also litigating criminal and traffic defense matters in Virginia’s General District and Circuit Courts.
His courtroom background is paired with a record of client-centered advocacy. Seth has worked closely with clients through interviews and case preparation, including coordinating with translators to serve Spanish-speaking clients. During law school, he served as a Judicial Intern with the Portsmouth General District Court. In addition, he handled family law and civil casework through Regent University’s clinical program and contributed legal research on constitutional liberty and federal protections for trafficking victims for The Center for Global Justice at Regent University.
Seth understands that family law matters are deeply personal and often emotionally challenging. He is drawn to the profession because it allows him to combine advocacy with helping people navigate some of the most important and difficult moments in their lives. Clients working with Seth can expect honest communication, thorough preparation, and a practical approach focused on protecting their rights and interests while guiding them through the legal process with compassion and professionalism.
Outside of his legal practice, Seth enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
