Attorney Bio
Roman A. Dodd, Esq. is a litigation attorney in the Columbia, SC office of Melone Hatley, P.C. Roman’s practice focuses on family law and estate planning matters including divorce, custody, and trust and probate administration.
Roman’s prior experience includes litigation, estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business law. Roman has represented and counseled for-profit and not-for-profit organizations at various stages, including formation, governance, dissolution, and in court. Roman prides himself on attention to detail and doing whatever he can to get the best result for his clients.
Roman earned his Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and received the Dean’s Scholarship for the highest GPA in the Tax LL.M. program. He also received CALI/Dean’s Book Awards in Commercial Law, International Taxation, and Partnership Taxation and served as Article and Comments Editor for the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review. Roman earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, where he competed on the Men’s Track and Field team.
Roman is a huge sports fan (Go Blue!) and lives in Columbia, SC with his children.
