Attorney Bio
Valerie Wilson, Esq. is a litigation attorney in the Fort Worth, TX office of Melone Hatley, P.C. Valerie’s practice includes divorce, child custody, child support, and other contested family law matters.
Valerie previously served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Office of the Attorney General in Dallas, where she handled high-conflict family law matters through contested hearings, trials, and negotiated settlements. Earlier in her career, she clerked with a criminal defense and Title IX clinic, a Houston personal injury practice, and the Earl Carl Institute Innocence Project, gaining experience across family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Valerie’s experience in both criminal defense and family law reinforced her dedication to help individuals and families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives
Valerie earned her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she served on the Board of Advocates and was named champion of the 2022 ABOTA Best in Texas Voir Dire Competition.
Outside of work, Valerie enjoys reading, traveling, and hiking.
