Andrew “Andy” Patzig, Esq. is an accomplished Litigation Attorney based in the Reston, VA office of Melone Hatley, P.C. With more than a decade of experience representing clients in complex family law matters across Virginia and the District of Columbia, Andy brings a rare combination of courtroom advocacy, firm leadership, and strategic problem-solving to every case he handles.
Andy’s practice focuses on high-conflict divorce, custody and visitation disputes, support matters, and other family law issues requiring decisive legal strategy and thoughtful client guidance. He is known for finding creative solutions to complicated cases while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary. His extensive experience allows him to advocate confidently for clients at every stage of the legal process.
Before joining Melone Hatley, Andy served as a partner and managing attorney with several Virginia-based and multi-state law firms, where he represented clients in contested family law matters. He previously founded and managed his own firm, managing a high-volume family law practice while overseeing firm operations, compliance, and attorney development.
In addition to his litigation experience, Andy has a strong background in mediation and child advocacy. He is a trained mediator, a Certified Guardian ad Litem, and a Certified Divorce Coach, credentials that reflect his commitment to both effective advocacy and compassionate representation.
