Emily Fleenor, Esq. is an Associate Attorney in the Richmond, VA office of Melone Hatley, P.C. Her practice includes divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and post-decree modifications, along with estate planning work covering wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives.

Emily manages family law cases from intake through final resolution. She handles every phase of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation, and she conducts direct and cross-examinations in contested proceedings. Her clients rely on her counsel in high-conflict custody and support disputes, where she advises on case strategy and resolution from the first consultation forward.

On the estate planning side, Emily drafts wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives, and she prepares guardianship and conservatorship petitions. She also counsels clients on premarital and postmarital agreements, asset protection, and long-term planning, working with individuals and families to build plans suited to their goals and finances.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from James Madison University. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and served as Vice President of the Washington County Bar Association.
