The Melone Hatley team attended the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) 2025 Annual Convention — a premier gathering for trial lawyers across the Commonwealth. Established in Williamsburg in 1959, VTLA is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge, skill, and professionalism of trial lawyers while advancing the fairness and integrity of Virginia’s justice system.

With 2,000 members representing a wide range of practice areas, VTLA is a community of dedicated advocates, paralegals, and legal professionals—most of whom work in small to mid-sized firms and spend much of their time in the courtroom.

About VTLA: The Virginia Trial Lawyers Association is a voluntary bar association established in Williamsburg in 1959, dedicated to enhancing the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of trial lawyers and committed to improving the law and the fairness of Virginia’s system of justice.

VTLA has approximately 2,000 members across the Commonwealth, representing clients in numerous practice areas. VTLA paralegal/legal assistant members support our attorney members. The vast majority of our members own or work in small to mid-sized firms and spend a substantial portion of their time in the courtroom.
