Attorney Bio
William Vazquez, Esq. is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Reston, VA office of Melone Hatley, P.C., where he is driven by a genuine desire to use the law to make a positive difference and to support clients through both the legal and emotional challenges of custody, divorce, and other family law matters. His broad litigation background has prepared him to guide clients through situations where careful judgment, strong legal advocacy, and long-term perspective are critical.
Before joining Melone Hatley, P.C., William built a diverse legal foundation through work spanning international human rights law, environmental law, antitrust law, immigration, and mortgage foreclosure. During law school, he contributed to international legal projects addressing serious human rights concerns and worked directly with individuals facing prolonged solitary confinement. He later served as a law clerk in the D.C. Superior Court and went on to handle complex civil litigation matters.
William has long-standing ties to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He earned his undergraduate degree from American University and later returned to Washington to complete his legal education following a year of teaching abroad. Outside of the office, William enjoys spending time with his wife, reading, traveling, birding, tackling puzzles, building LEGO sets, and giving back through community volunteer efforts.
