Attorney Bio
Miguel Jeffery, of our Virginia Beach office, was born and raised in Nogales, Arizona, along the US/Mexico border. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a major in psychology and a minor in Italian, also commissioning into the US Air Force. After almost 7 years of social work, Miguel attended Regent University School of Law, where he graduated in the top 20 percent of his class. During law school, he interned for numerous entities, the most prestigious being for a federal judge, Judge Raymond Jackson of the Eastern District of Virginia.
Miguel’s passion for family law is largely fueled by having gone through his own custody battle. He knows firsthand how grueling it is to go through the process and the feelings that accompany it. This experience leads Miguel to fight vigorously for his clients, as he identifies with the struggles they are going through and understands the terrors involved with litigation. Miguel’s goal is to get the best possible outcome for his clients, while utilizing his social work background to establish a strong bond. If nothing else, you know that with Miguel, you have a lawyer that will identify with you and give it his all so that you know you’re not alone during the most challenging time of your life.
