Jessica Sherwood

Jessica joined the firm in November 2022 as a litigation attorney in the Virginia Beach, Virginia office. Jessica is passionate about using the law as a tool to empower individuals and families to set themselves up for holistic success. She is strongly committed to providing excellent representation from start to finish.

Formerly, Jessica worked at the Portsmouth Juvenile and Domestic Relations court, where she developed a desire to serve families as they navigate complex legal issues. During her time as a prosecutor, she tried a broad range of felony cases that honed her advocacy skills and gave her the ability to find customized solutions to each individual’s problems.

Throughout law school, Jessica dedicated herself to becoming a skilled litigator and communicator. She competed with the Trial Advocacy Team, placing first at the Stetson National Pretrial Competition, and was a semi-finalist in the Advanced Dispute Resolution tournament. She also served as a law clerk for the Center for Global Justice, advocating for vulnerable populations and reimagining the criminal justice system at large.

When she is outside of the courtroom, Jessica is planning her next international trip, tending her plants, or curling up with a novel. She loves food touring and adventuring with her husband, Ryan and her dog, Milo.
